#SelfCareTogether | 30 Day Self Care Challenge

Last month, I decided to join in with Anneli's #SelfCareTogether challange. Anneli is a mental health blogger and advocate, and if you aren't already following her, you should be! Anneli created #SelfCareTogether back in 2018, which you can read more about on her blog; Pigletish.

My favourite thing about this challenge is that Anneli has made everyone and anyone feel welcome to join. She included alternative ways to join in with the challenge for every prompt, and expressed that there was absolutely no pressure to join in with it every single day.

I did try to join in every day but some days I couldn't do that challenge or just outright forgot. I do think that this challenge helped me get through June. I didn't really mention it in my previous post but June was quite a rough month for me mentally and emotionally, but Anneli's prompts really helped me to keep it together!




I think my favourite prompt for the month was day 11: sit outside for 15 minutes. That day was gorgeous and sunny, and I decided to make my lunch and eat it out in the garden. I also made an effort to stay off my phone for the 15 minutes. It was just at the right time of day where the only noise was the birds singing. I remember feeling so peaceful and was really able to connect with myself for that time.

The only part of the challenge I regret not doing is checking Anneli's blog post every day and doing the journal prompt alongside it. I definitely want to do that next time!
