I regularly get days where I'm in a bit of a funk and don't want to do anything, but also don't want to do nothing. I could spend an hour plus just scrolling through social media, not even really reading any tweets and eventually getting annoyed with it all (people seem extra whiney when I'm in a mood). So, I have to find something else to do. Here's my list of things I do when I don't want to do anything.
Read
Because, to quote Ru Paul, reading is fundamental!
Netflix
Either a feel-good chick flick or a horror (if I've already caught up with the multiple series I'm watching).
Go out
Whether it's just for a 10 minute walk with the dog, or a mooch round The Range for an hour with Mum; getting up and going out always makes me feel better.
Tidy my room
This is honestly the least likely of the list but occasionally it happens. Having a wee spruce up of my space is a guaranteed way to make me feel a bit perkier, and it's productive! Besides; who doesn't like a tidy bedroom?
Get creative
Whether it's painting or scrapbooking; it's fun to do and if it goes right I get to feel proud of myself for accomplishing a pretty piece of art.
Blog
Even if I don't actually have anything to blog about, I try to either reply to comments or find other blogs to comment on.
I also do quite a lot of these, too, but reading is one I've really fallen back on and should probably try to pick back up again.
