I haven't had a proper holiday in years. Well, okay so I went to Center Parcs in 2020 but a resort like that isn't the kind of holiday I mean! I keep hearing about people going on holiday and I am suffering from some serious envy and wanderlust. So, in no particular order, here are some of the places I am absolutely desperate to go to ASAP.
Wales
I have only been to Wales once before. I went with my Mum and Dad to Laugharne. It was a gorgeous place and we absolutely loved it there. I would be very happy to visit Laugharne again but I wouldn't mind exploring more of Wales! Josh has camped in Wales before, and wants to climb Mount Snowdon again so we will probably be making that trip eventually!
Scotland
I have never been to Scotland but it's definitely way at the top of the wishlist! I don't know where specifically I'd like to go but I'm sure my best friend Gail wouldn't mind being my tour guide! I know I'd love to see The Kelpies in Falkirk in person.
Iceland
About six or so years ago I went to Reykjavik, Iceland with my Mum, Dad and - now stepdad - Dave for a few days. It is probably one of my most favourite places on earth and I am dying to take Josh there one day and do whale watching and relax in the blue lagoon. Again, I would also like to explore other places in Iceland.
Prague
I was supposed to go to Prague as a teen with my family, but unfortunately my Dad was too ill to go at the time. My sister in law recently went for her birthday and she absolutely loved it, and it's made my desire to go even stronger. One day I'll get there!
France
I have been to France three times as far as I can remember and I loved it every single time. My favourite holiday there was to Loire Valley. I have lots of very fond memories there that I hope I'll never forget and our home for the holiday was absolutely stunning. Although the beastie spiders are something I wish I could forget...
I'd also love to go to Paris for a romantic weekend away sometime!
Where would you like to go for your next holiday? Or tell me about your favourite one!
Until tomorrow,
Saph x
I'd love to go to Italy and Norway!
ReplyDeleteScotland is high on my list of places to visit. My family ancestry is Scottish and I would love to dig into that history more while visiting the different locations. I know that the 'family castle' is now open for people to tour, for example.
