My lovely friend Gracie kindly gifted me the Clever Fox Budget Planner from my Amazon wishlist! I couldn't believe it when it arrived, I so wasn't expecting it! I've been trying to sort out my finances for a while now, and trying to become minimalist and live sustainably/frugally. Not easy when you've got a tiny income and a child you want to spoil!
I absolutely love the planner. I've had it for a few months now, but haven't been able to consistently use it for a full month yet. I planning to change that this month! My last payday was April 19th, so I decided it was time to knuckle down and sort my planner out. The planner actually comes with a booklet full of examples to use the planner effectively, and three sheets of stickers.
The planner itself consists of a page of financial goals for the year, a mind map to break those goals down and set a plan, strategy and tactics sections, year at a glance, and then monthly spreads for goals, checklists, calendar, and a monthly budget. It's then followed by four pages of expenses trackers, a monthly budget review, then an ideas and notes section. I have shown some things I've written below, but for privacy's sake I have only included blank pages of my income and budgets.
After the monthly spreads, there are four pages of savings trackers with two savings sections on each page - for multiple types of savings - then debt trackers, and my personal favourite; a holiday section. Or Christmas, to us Brits. There's a budget section, gifts and holiday spending. I'm definitely looking forward to using that at Christmas, especially the gifts section so I don't forget who we've bought something for!
There is also a regular bill tracker, which I should probably start using and a monthly expenses summary.
I will be updating all of my pages over the course of the year, as goals and situations change. I'm still so grateful to Gracie for buying it for me, and I'm interested to see how it changes over the year! Even though I forget to use it regularly, I definitely recommend this budget planner!
Do you use a budget planner? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time,
Saph x
