Building Better Habits for October 2022

I mentioned in my October Goals that I need to create some better habits, but couldn't figure out what or how. Well, I've had some time to think about it and I think I'm ready now!

Eat Better
I have basically been living off of pot noodles and Dr Pepper lately and I'm seeing so many negative changes in myself because of it! I really want to start eating better and taking healthier meals to work, whether that's by cooking at home the night before or taking shop bought pre-prepped meals. I've been enjoying pasta salads again lately. Plus it's soup weather now so I might stock up on vegetable soups!

Drinking Water
I have not been getting enough water in me lately. As I said above, I've been mainly drinking Dr Pepper or Monsters! Neither of which are doing me any favours at all. I want to try and drink mainly water - or at least squash - every day now.

I've been really slacking on exercise! My august exercise plan didn't really go to plan and apart from my step count being higher than average, I didn't really move at all! Although it didn't help that my weighted hula hoop and resistance bands randomly disappeared one day. I think this month I'm just going to try walking more, as I still don't know where my exercise equipment is and I don't like following workouts on apps.

Take Vitamins
I'm definitely not getting enough vitamins in me! I have some multi-vitamins from ASDA that I need to start taking, so I'm going to try and make a conscious effort to take them every day this month and see if I feel better for it.

Less Time Online
As a blogger, this isn't the easiest of habits to let go of. The whole point of blogging is to be online, sharing your posts and commenting and generally being active. I think this month I'm going to try to stay off my phone for an hour after waking up and as much as possible in the evenings. We'll see!

  1. Definitely exercising more is on my list as well! Today I actually got into my active wear but didn't end up exercising. I walked for around 30mins so at least that counts.
