May Recap & June Goals

I have been so incredibly burnt out this month! There's been multiple days this month I have woken up and nearly cried at the thought of going to work. I don't really hate my job but I am really and truly exhausted! Working three weekends per monthly rota doesn't help, I feel like I never really get to rest. Thankfully though, I booked myself some annual leave for June and I'm so excited to have a week off to just do what I want!

I celebrated two birthdays and got horrendously drunk at the second one. I had to go to work the following afternoon and I felt like I was going to die. It was a really fun night though, I haven't enjoyed myself that much in ages!

May Goals

Yoga twice a week
So...I didn't exactly do this one but I kind of did? I was supposed to do one ten minute session twice a week. However, most of the time, I ended up doing two ten minute sessions once a week because I just didn't have the energy to do it twice a week. One day I even did three sessions in one go because I had done any the previous week, and I was trying to set myself up for success that week! Either way, I did as much yoga as I intended to this month, just not in the routine I wanted...

Read more books
I definitely did this! As I had to buy myself a new kindle, I got 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for free, so I certainly made the most of it this month, and read 7 ebooks! Mostly about saving money and minimalism, but I also discovered another thriller writer I really like; Daniel Hurst. I especially enjoyed The Couple at Table 6 and We Used to Live Here by Daniel.

Declutter
Reading some minimalism books spurred me on to do some decluttering this month! I nearly didn't do any but The Year of Less by Cait Flanders really motivated me. That particular day I removed 11 items from my possession.

June Goals
I am so excited for this month. As I said, I have a week booked off work and I'm taking my friend on a spa day! I've never been to one before and I'm so excited to get pampered. I've also booked myself in for a cheeky tattoo! June is going to be an expensive month...

Declutter
I want to use my week off as an excuse to do all the decluttering I don't have time or energy for! I'm sure I say this every month but I desperately need to sort through mine and Charlie's clothes and shoes. It's what takes the most effort and I just never want to do it! I also need to start going through his toys as his birthday is coming up.

Cut out fizzy drinks
This is going to be so difficult. I've tried this before and couldn't stick to it but I need to start swapping out fizz for water again!

Stick to June Budget
I need to be so strict with my money this month! I've already figured out my budget and I'm hoping I can control myself. I want my tattoo to be my biggest expensive this month!

Read
I'm loving having a free trial of Kindle Unlimited and having access to so many books! I'd love to read at least 5 books this month. I'm still adding £1 to my savings for every book read on top of my automatic £50. My savings are looking so healthy this year!

Wish me luck! What are your goals for June?

Until next time,
Saph x
