It's finally really and truly starting to kick in now that I'm having a baby! I honestly cannot wait, and there's so many things I'm really looking forward to experiencing for the first time.
1. All the baby cuddles
Sorry but nobody else is getting a look-in for at least a week after he's born
2. Hearing him laugh for the first time
THERE'S NOTHING MORE PRECIOUS THAN A BABY LAUGHING
3. Taking his newborn photos
As a photographer I am dying to get my son in front of the camera and build up my portfolio. As a mother I can't wait to have some gorgeous photos that I didn't have to pay someone else to take!
4. The responsibility
I don't know why but I'm actually looking forward to throwing myself into adulthood head first and being responsible for looking after another human. Maybe it's because I was the mother hen at school, maybe it's because I've wanted a baby since I was 16, who knows. But either way I'm totally ready for the kick up the arse I'm about to get!
5. Just having him here
All through the pregnancy all I've been thinking about is cuddles and making him laugh and just generally trying to be the best Mum I can. I've wanted this for so long and I cannot wait to have Charlie in my arms. I'm just hoping my instincts kick in straight away and I don't totally collapse under pressure! I seem to do well with other people's kids though, so fingers crossed my own isn't too difficult!
Such a cute outfit! I love that blue blanket bear. He reminds me of my first cuddly toy. You sound like you will make a great mother!
