Hello folks! Happy Monday. Another week is done and a new one is upon us. Lets see how I did last week, eh?
I was a bit spendy last week. I ended up ordering some tarot posters for the bedroom, and some clothes and accessories for myself. I've been feeling so bored of my clothes lately and my favourite stuff that I've bought recently is in the washing that I just can't be bothered to sort out. I do feel like I need to go through my clothes again and get rid of anything that isn't new/I don't love so I've got no choice but to keep on top of the washing.
My sleep pattern definitely improved last week, kind of. I was going to bed early enough but I was struggling to wake up and one day didn't even wake up until 8:20am - 10 minutes before we were supposed to leave for school. It got easier through the week and I'm hoping this is it now and I'm back into a decent routine.
I didn't actually lift any weights last week as I was so tired, but I did have to lug about 20 pieces of timber from the front garden to the back garden, which left me feeling like I'd been lifting weights. So I'd call that a start?
I didn't pick up a book until Friday. I decided to take it to work with me as I was confident I'd have at least 20 minutes of reading time. I didn't take the Stephen King book with me, as I need time to fully concentrate on that, so took The Body in the Stairwell by Nick Louth with me instead. I actually managed to read 4 chapters in 25 minutes so I was pretty happy with that! I also got some time to read over the weekend.
Weekly Goals 15th - 21st July
I'm feeling a bit unsettled this week. It's my Dad's birthday tomorrow so I'm probably going to be pretty down in the dumps - as I have been all month so far really. We're planning on getting the family together and taking some flowers down to the crematorium this weekend. It's going to be rough. It's been 8 years without him now and it's not getting any easier.
Lift Weights
I think this week I might aim for 30 minutes just once, so I'm not overwhelming myself. I might follow a youtube video or just make it up as I go along.
Keep on Top of Housework
I was really slacking with housework last week, so this week I want to keep on top of it and potentially get some decluttering done on top.
Get My Hair Cut & Coloured
My hair has been getting me down a lot lately, as the last time I got it cut she forgot to put layers in. So I'm going to treat myself to getting a trim and the layers put in, and get some red hair dye.
