I'm really trying to build up my savings this year. The Low Buy year will hopefully help with that, once I finally get my shit together! I still can't believe how much extra I spent in January. I've been using Monzo savings pots for a while now but after getting multiple TikToks on my FYP about them, I've decided to make some changes.

Low Buy November/December | Week 1
I got paid on November 25th so I had to start work on my budgeting and no/low buying pretty early on! First thing I did was go through all of my direct debits/subscriptions and minus all of those plus childcare from my pay. All of that came to £360.63. Yikes. That's not even including paying for gas and electric because I do that as pay as you go. I also included the £75.50 I owed my sister for our family Christmas get together. New total -£436.13 from my pay.

The £5 a Day Side Hustle Challenge | from The Fun Money Club
I'm a huge fan of Neesha, from The Fun Money Club, who has been doing a £5 a day side hustle challenge since January and has saved herself a huge £800 in that time! I'm always after more ways to get money without working myself to the bone, so I thought I'd follow her tips and give it a try this April.

October Budget
Another month, another budget! Last month, I decided to put £1,000 from my wages into my savings and try to live on what I had leftover in my account. I accidentally stopped keeping track of my savings the last couple of weeks but I have to say, I didn't touch the £1,000 at all! I'm so proud of myself and I definitely want to try it again this month if I can. Let's see what my pay was like this month!

Weekly Budget Recap | 5th-11th September
This is it now, time to get serious! Spending over £300 in three days shook me to my core and really made me want to get my act together more than ever before. I decided to move £1,000 into my savings account (not including it in my savings goal) and then I challenged myself to "live" on the £723.55 I had left in my current account for the rest of the month, obviously aiming to have the majority of it left.

September Budget
So, I completely forgot to actually keep track of my spending last month - oops! All I know is that I paid my bills, paid for Charlie's school stuff for September and treated myself to new bras I needed desperately needed from Shein. My cash budgeting didn't go so great as I automatically used my card a few times. But the good news is I have some cash left over!
