I decided to stop bullet journaling last year, and used a standard one-page-per-day diary I picked up for a quid in the Card Factory! Halfway through the year, however, I decided I missed the bujo system and I really needed some extra pages!! So, for 2021 I decided to bring back my bullet journal.
I'm using the thickest, lined notebook I have, which I picked up from Tesco January 2020. It has the prettiest cover ever! I can't get on with plain, dotted or squared paper, it's always got to be lined for me.
Page one is pretty simple. I bought my nieces some Harry Styles sticker packs for Christmas from BlacButterflies on Etsy and I nabbed this one for myself as it was spare! No shame.
Page two is my goals for the year, plus a cute mushroom sticker from Art by Lena. I have never used a contents page or a key and I probably never will. I personally don't see the point in them. That may change one day!
Pages three and four are for my blog post ideas. This is what I missed most last year, not having a dedicated space for jotting down ideas! It's the same for pages five and six, those are my wishlist pages. As you can see, I haven't added to it very much so far this year! Probably because everything goes on my Amazon wishlist.
I did consider drawing in a monthly calendar at the beginning of each month, until I remembered how much I hated trying to do that! Each month starts with my goals and a brain dump for the month, then a page-per-day for my to-do list, and any journaling I felt I needed to do.
Tools I Use
* BIC coloured pens from Wilkos
* Washi tape from Amazon
* Stickers from Dorkface, Art by Lena
* Stencils from Amazon
* Notepad from Art by Lena
* Sticky notes from Amazon
I can draw as well as I can sing (not at all) so I decided to go for quite a simple layout. All of the interest comes from the coloured pens, washi and stickers I use. I don't plan on using a huge amount of stickers in my bujo this year, but they're nice just for a bit of decoration sometimes!
This post only covers January and February. I have decided to switch it up a little for March, so I may do another post soon.
What's in your bullet journal?
Until next time,
Saph x
So pretty! I absolutely LOVE stationary. I never look while I’m in Tesco though.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Ahh you've always got to check out the Tesco stationery - I've found some right beauties in there in the past! X
