February 2021 Goals | Be More Me

Hello February! Did January drag for anyone else? I always find that if I'm ahead with my blogging schedule, I always think I'm closer to the end of the month than I actually am - January has been two weeks longer for me!

Also, my pageviews were off the charts in January and I can't explain how grateful I am to everyone who reads and comments! Thank you all so much, it means the world to me.

I'vebeen thinking about my Be More Me blog post a lot lately. I was all set to change my ways and be happier with myself but it didn't take long for that to go to pot! However, I have only been 25 for three months, so it's not too late to get back into the swing of things again. I hate the way I'm forever having to start again! I can never just stick to my goals and it's so frustrating. The only thing I'm happy with at the moment is my hair. It's getting longer and looking healthier all the time.

I got mad with myself a few weeks ago and tweeted that 2021 is the year I finally "glow the f*ck up!" and I really want to stick with that! I have been trying to work out again lately but I have spent the majority of the year ill so far. Trying to workout with swollen tonsils is hard, I couldn't breathe! However, I'm not going to let that stop me.

Celebrate Imbolc

Today is Imbolc and I'm planning on spending the day spring cleaning and getting outside. Check out my Imbolc & Ways to Celebrate post if you want to learn more about it!

Spend Less Time on My Phone

I spent the first two weeks of January isolating, and the majority of that time on my phone. This meant I was unmotivated, unproductive (except for blogging!) and wasn't Mum enough. I have re-installed the Forest app to my phone, and plan to at least double the amount of trees grown compared to the last two weeks!

I also decided to go completely phone-free the past weekend. Friday night I logged out of Twitter, Facebook, Messenger and turned off my notifications for Whatsapp. Once I'd done that, my phone actually died and I decided to leave it off! I charged it, just in case, but left it off. Josh and I had a lovely evening, watching a film together and then talking until we fell asleep. This weekend we did some (essential) shopping, watched films, went for a walk, and played games - he played Valhalla, I played Animal Crossing - all without me being distracted by my phone every two seconds. I didn't turn it back on until Charlie was in bed Sunday evening and I'm very proud of myself.

Spend Less Money

My spending ban was a little rubbish last month, so I want to spend as little as possible this month.

Lose Weight

I really want to lose a noticeable amount of weight this month, but in a safe and manageable way! I bought myself a skipping rope last month and I've been really enjoying using it! I also need to get back into using the Ring Fit on the switch.

Write

I haven't touched my book since I started writing it a couple months ago! This month I really want to allot some time to it each week and get writing again.

Until next time,

Saph x

  1. These are great goals. I know that stepping away from my phone more is something that I would like to do in 2021. I have been turning off notifications for most things so that I don't have the temptation to reach for it as often - no notifications means that it's not constantly reminding me that it's there lol
