I'm still in shock that we climbed Snowdon on our first full day of the holiday but at the same time, it's just as well we did because that was the best weather for it! I unfortunately did not make it to the summit but the family said it was the clearest view they've ever had!
Yes, that does mean they have already climbed Snowdon before. A few times in fact. Yes, I do think they are insane (but I love them anyway.)
It was at this point that I was pretty much done with the climb. I'd say I'd done 80% (yes I am still ticking it off my bucket list) and I was physically and mentally done in. My hips were killing me and I was on the verge of tears. I managed to get another 10% done but as soon as the path got thinner and I started slipping from the snow, I had a panic attack and had to go back down.
I would say I was upset that I didn't get to the summit but honestly, I'm not. I have literally never pushed myself to do something as much as I pushed to climb Snowdon, and I'm really bloody pleased with myself for getting as far up it as I did. If anything, I regret pushing myself to get that extra 10% in!
Would you or have you climbed Mount Snowdon? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time,
Saph x
