I haven't really blogged about this yet, but Josh and I are working on the possibility of freezing my eggs so we can have a baby in the future. If you don't know why, this post explains it all. Now, I don't know why exactly but the gynaecologist in charge of it all, wants me to get my BMI down to 30 or less. I've calculated that I need to lose roughly 2 stone to achieve that. Yay.
Honestly, I've been trying to lose a lot of weight for the last 5 years but I think now I have a real goal to get to within 10 months, I might have half a chance of convincing myself to stick to it. This May I have given myself the goal of losing a minimum of 5lbs.
I'm planning on drinking at least 1 litre of water a day, eating more fruit and vegetables daily and completely cutting out energy drinks like Monster and Aldi's Red Thunder. I'll allow isotonic sports drinks or Lucozade though but I rarely have those anyway. As for exercise, I'm planning on just doing weight training at least twice a week, and then any walks I end up doing will be a bonus.
I have spent the last week implementing some of these changes already, I just want to be more consistent with it this month. I have also got myself my favourite shake from MyProtein; Impact Diet Whey protein powder in the chocolate brownie flavour. I can't decide whether to have that on my workout days or on the evenings I'm working, as it's quite filling.
I feel scared, and overwhelmed, but I'm determined to do it! I've created a fitness group chat on Twitter, so I'm glad to have a little support group again. I've also started keeping a food and exercise diary again. I mostly started that as I was getting really intense heartburn almost daily for about a week, so I wanted to see what was triggering it. Ironically, I've only had it once since starting the diary but I'm going to continue using it anyway.
If you have any tips or advice, please feel free to leave them in the comments! Wish me luck!
Until next time,
Saph x
