Last week, myself and Charlie stayed at my Mums house! We have only recently started seeing them again, and it's always so hard leaving them after an hour or two. I was so looking forward to spending some proper time with my Mum again.
On Tuesday Mum, Charlie and I popped over to my sisters flat to drop off my nieces birthday present and have a quick catch up. It was so nice to see them! We then went over to my other sisters house and spent the afternoon there playing with my nephew. He's gotten so big now, it's always such a shock when I see him! I swear he was only born five minutes ago but nope, it's definitely been a whole year.
I was supposed to see my sisters again the next day but it was so hot and I was so exhausted that we stayed home all day! Except for a short trip to The Range, which I only managed because it was a five minute walk round the corner! My Mum was looking for some new garden plants and Charlie decided to play in all the water features. He's nearly four and playing in water is still his favourite thing, the little cutie!
Thursday was another lazy day inside, avoiding the sun. Charlie's Grandad had bought Charlie a car shaped money box to paint from The Range. He absolutely loves painting, and was thrilled with the final product. Especially once he realised he could put money into it!
On Friday we went to Wildwood! It was soaking wet and rained 70% of the time but it was still a really good day. Charlie loved seeing all the animals and jumping in the puddles. He even insisted on walking along the rope bridge above the bear enclosure. The only downside was that we didn't get into the gift shop before it shut!
Saturday morning it was time to quickly finish getting packed up. We were due at Wingham at 11am and Josh was meeting us there, so Charlie and I could go straight home from Wingham at the end of the day. Thankfully the weather had cheered right up again so there was no puddle jumping. We all really enjoyed Wingham, and Charlie borrowed Mums camera so he was happy taking photos of everything and anything! He's told me that his favourite animal were the parrots.
I absolutely loved my week at my Mums, although I do wish I had stayed longer! Definitely want to stay again soon so I can see my sisters more.
I'll be posting full photo diaries of the trips to Wildwood and Wingham, so be sure to keep an eye out for those!
Until next time,
Saph x
