You know me and how much I love reading. I'm always on the prowl for a new book to read - the creepier the better! So obviously I snapped up the chance to review a brand new book! What's Love Got To Do With It?! is a "collection of short love stories without the happy ending." Sounds like my kind of book.
The first story is At Odds by Victoria Adeniji. It's a little bit freaky and a little bit seductive, and left me wanting more. This story is exactly the kind I look out for when I'm book shopping, and I'm dying to know more about the main character!
What She Knew by Natasha MacFarlane is sad, and beautiful, about a different kind of love. This one pulled on my heartstrings, as I could relate quite strongly.
Between The Reef And The Shore by Katherine Nelson is more of a fantasy story compared to the others, and paints quite a beautiful picture. We all have that one that got away, so while it's a little bit magical, it's still relatable and can make your heart ache.
The Statue by Josh Gill. Oh my. This one is easily my favourite. It comes from a totally different perspective from any book I've ever read, let alone a love story. It had me completely hooked from the start, and I couldn't read it fast enough. It's beautiful, devasting, and something I could read over and over again.
