Hello March

Wow, March already. I know February is the shortest month of the year but that absolutely flew by! It was a bit of a mental month too. In my latest blog post I spoke about how stressed I'd been feeling during February, but I've taken some time to get my thoughts together, work on a plan and I'm feeling good again.

The Big News

This month, I'm officially going to be making the move to living on my own. Mum has bought herself a new place and is allowing me to rent my childhood home off her! I still intend to move elsewhere asap but, for now, this is the best option. Over the last couple of weeks, Mum has been slowly moving her stuff out and it won't be long before I can start to adjust the home to my taste, rather than hers. I'm so excited! Also terrified, because I'm about to take on a whole ton of responsibilities I'm not ready for. But I can't wait to finally get some independence.

My Goals

Due to feeling so stressed, my diet last month mainly consisted of chocolate and I think I might have worked out once. Twice at a push. This month, I'll be getting my gym gear back out of my drawer and will be working out again. I'm also setting myself a little challenge: for every 1lb I lose over the next few weeks, I'm going to add £1 to my savings. Double motivation. I specifically want to lose 1 stone this month but I'll be happy if I lose anything!

As well as losing weight, I'm also going to be setting myself up a spending ban. That means no clothes, no shoes, no chocolate. I spend more than I earn every month which just adds to my stress and I feel guilty for buying things I don't really need. Doesn't help with my minimalism either.

What are your goals for March?
