December Goals

It's Chrrrriiiisstmaaassss! Our decorations have been up for a while, I finished my shopping weeks ago but the Christmas playlist is officially ON and I plan on finishing my wrapping this week. Although I'm working Christmas this year and my boy is with his dad, I am absolutely buzzing for it this year.

Last week I was really on a downward spiral but I cancelled my overtime, spent the weekend with family and today I woke up with new motivation and feel really spurred on for the new month! Let's get it!

November Goals Update

Be consistent with skincare

I have become marginally better with the skincare, not so much with the water or the vitamins. However, I have been having a meal replacement shake most days that's full of vitamins so I don't really want to overdo it.

Walk more
I haven't really done this either. I did catch the bus to work a few times at the start of the month which meant a decent walk but I'm also on day 4 and day 6 of 7 shifts in a row on bus days; I'm so tired by then, I just want a bit of extra time at home after the school run.

Date nights
We did actually have a date night where we went for an evening drive to the beach and looked at the stars. It was cold but wonderful and reminded us simultaneously of our first date and our honeymoon!

Hobbies
I read a book! I sat down, shut up and actually read a book! It took me over a week but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have also got back into gaming this month and have rather enjoyed playing Hogwarts Legacy again. My hand-to-eye co-ordination is slowly getting better! Still no photography or junk journaling but I'm happy with my efforts.

December Goals

I had a bit of an epiphany last week, and realised I actually do have more spare time in my days than I originally thought! I can achieve anything I set my mind to. I was also looking through my 100 days until my birthday thread on X and I actually started off so well, but it tapered off in the middle as it usually does. So this December I want to go back to that Saph and work hard.

Create a Schedule
I feel like I need a routine that's something other than just watching TV until I go to work. So I'm going to sit down and fully schedule my days so I can get my housework done, exercise and work on my hobbies daily.

No/Low Spend
I was very spendy in November and found myself at the end of the month with no money. Again. Although having to spend £99 on a boiler engineer didn't help.
This month, I want to keep spending to a minimum, and as I've already done the majority of my Christmas shopping and wrapping, it shouldn't be too difficult.
I do also owe my sister over £70 for the family Christmas get together, plus I'm paying off our new bed monthly, so there's a couple of good reasons to stop the "treat myself and my household" mentality!

Phone-free Evenings
I really want to implement phone-free evenings again! Whether this means I'm working on a hobby or spending time with family, I really need to just put my phone down when I'm at home.

I'm also planning on blogging more this month but we all know how that goes so I'm not adding it as an official goal for December. Wish me luck!

Until next time,
Saph x
