The £5 a Day Side Hustle Challenge | from The Fun Money Club

I'm a huge fan of Neesha, from The Fun Money Club, who has been doing a £5 a day side hustle challenge since January and has saved herself a huge £800 in that time! I'm always after more ways to get money without working myself to the bone, so I thought I'd follow her tips and give it a try this April.

Another week, another spending recap! It was pay day last Wednesday, so let's see how much I spent by Sunday.

October Budget

Another month, another budget! Last month, I decided to put £1,000 from my wages into my savings and try to live on what I had leftover in my account. I accidentally stopped keeping track of my savings the last couple of weeks but I have to say, I didn't touch the £1,000 at all! I'm so proud of myself and I definitely want to try it again this month if I can. Let's see what my pay was like this month!

Stocks & Shares | A Complete Beginners Guide

If you’re looking for a new way to make money - whether that’s to cover the rising costs of living or you’re considering an entire new career path, you may want to get involved with stocks and shares. This can be a daunting topic to branch into, with many of us finding ourselves thinking up images of Wall Street and stressed business people, it’s actually surprisingly accessible. My partner Josh even has some shares in Rolls Royce! Here are a few steps that can help you to get into the market.

Weekly Budget Recap | 5th-11th September

This is it now, time to get serious! Spending over £300 in three days shook me to my core and really made me want to get my act together more than ever before. I decided to move £1,000 into my savings account (not including it in my savings goal) and then I challenged myself to "live" on the £723.55 I had left in my current account for the rest of the month, obviously aiming to have the majority of it left.

Weekly Budget Recap | 2nd-4th September

This one is a little bit different as I've only done three days this time! I was going to do Friday-Friday but I think Monday-Sunday works much better. So this is just a short but shocking recap this time.

Weekly Budget Recap | 26th August - 1st September

I started doing a weekly budget round up (for the most part) in July, and it really opened my eyes to how much I spend in a week! It really disgusted me to be honest, so hopefully I can control my spending better this month!

September Budget

So, I completely forgot to actually keep track of my spending last month - oops! All I know is that I paid my bills, paid for Charlie's school stuff for September and treated myself to new bras I needed desperately needed from Shein. My cash budgeting didn't go so great as I automatically used my card a few times. But the good news is I have some cash left over!

August Budget

July was a bit of a spendy month! I ended up spending lots of money with The Body Shop, Studio and Shein. I also had some ASDA and Amazon gift cards to use, and sold some bits so I had some extra money to see me through last month!

Weekly Budget Round Up | 11th-17th July

I feel like I haven't been tracking my spending habits all that well this year, so I thought this month I would try a weekly budget round up! It's definitely going to help me see how I'm spending my money and what I need to change. I haven't included my savings or what I owed people, this is literally just to see how I spend after that.

July Budget

If you've read my June Budget recap, you'll know I spent a horrendous amount of money! My pay was basically what I expected - not terrible but could have been better - and now it's time to really knuckle down and curb my spending.

June Budget & May Budget Recap

May Budget Recap

My budgeting goals were fairly simple for May! My goal for my debit account was to not go under £600 and to not spend more than £250 on my credit card. Sounds fairly simple right? Let's see how I did shall we.

Low Spend February | How I Did

My first "low spend" month is complete! In case you haven't already read my February Budget post, I got out £200 in cash and £50 in vouchers to spend for the entirety of the month. Unfortunately, I couldn't quite stick to my cash-only budget.
