A Catch Up & November Goals

I'm really failing at blogging regularly again aren't I? I missed a whole month! September was a good month, I didn't complete all of my goals but I was feeling happy, I was working on a lot of different hobbies and was generally feeling good about life!

In September I had two friendships break down. Initially, yeah, I was sad and I did have a bit of anxiety about going out and running into them but honestly, after a couple of weeks, I realised I didn't miss them at all. Yes, they did a lot of good for me but they were also incredibly toxic and ended up doing me more harm than good!

September also brought a family wedding and it was such a gorgeous day, I had so much fun! I took Josh's camera and spent the night snapping pics and I'm so in love with a lot that I took. It had me rethinking all my feelings about event photography!

I restarted my photography instagram and I was having so much fun posting on there and intentionally going out with my camera to post. Photography made me so happy in September. I also started writing poetry! I never got on with it at school but after talking to a couple of friends about it, I decided to give it a go and I absolutely loved doing it.

October was a pivotal month, as I made the decision to remove and block these girls from all social media and I could finally enjoy my phone again! However, I also think this is why I didn't touch any of my hobbies last month, as I was too busy scrolling again...
That being said though, I know I'm so much happier and I'm doing so much better without them. I feel like my head is finally clear for the first time in years and I'm making decisions so much easier without them whispering in my ears!

October brought another beautiful family wedding, and a trip to Tulley's pumpkin farm!

October was also birthday month! I am officially 30 years old, which absolutely terrified me to start with but I'm actually so excited to see what my thirties bring me. I'm ready to start growing and glowing! As usual, I was utterly spoiled for my birthday and it was a very chilled one as it fell on a weekday this year. I spent the morning getting my lashes and nails done, then enjoyed a few hours alone at home to relax before Josh and Charlie got home. I opened my presents, had Chinese for dinner and then watched a couple of good films. It was exactly what I wanted and it was perfect.

I then celebrated my birthday again on the Saturday with my family. We got all dressed up and met up for a Gothic Tea Party. It was very cool and I loved the venue - although it was a tad too dark! I got some more great gifts too.

November Goals

I'm hoping for the good times to continue in November! I want to stay happy, spend more time with friends and family, and work on my hobbies some more.

Be Consistent with Skincare

I've been very lax with my skincare lately! The amount of days I go without moisturiser is actually shocking and it won't be long before it starts showing. I treated myself to a new Vitamin C serum and an exfoliator and I want to start making sure I take the time to really treat my skin every morning and night. I might start doing a face mask once a week too. As well as skincare, I also need to make sure I'm consistent with my water intake and vitamins! I started taking collagen tablets recently but it didn't take long before I started forgetting to take them.

Walk More

Again, I started the habit of walking more and it's all just stopped. I need to start getting the bus to work again and make the effort to go for walks on my days off!

Date Nights

It's been a hot minute since we had a date night again! We need an evening a week just us, no phones, and having a laugh again.

Hobbies

I've been seriously slacking with my hobbies the last month and even longer for some of them - I still haven't read a book since July! I have four hobbies I really enjoy doing so this month I want to carve out some time for all of them.

- junk journaling
- photography
- blogging
- reading

I'm so excited to see how November goes!
What are your goals or plans for the month? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,
Saph x
