When Life Gives You Birthdays, Eat Cake

I am officially 28! It was my birthday yesterday (29th October.) Crazy to think I'm another year older. Josh very kindly paid for me to get pampered a couple days beforehand! I had my brows waxed/tidied, lashes lifted and tinted, and a manicure.

I'm absolutely obsessed with my lashes, they've literally never looked this good! I absolutely love my nails as well, I'm so glad I went for black with the white french tip.

Sunday morning I woke up to puppy and kid cuddles, and had my presents from Josh and Charlie in bed. I received the most beautiful chakra necklace, a crystal and a bath bomb from Charlie. Josh bought me the dress pictured below, the choker also pictured below, a t-shirt and the amazing Lego bookshop.

The earrings pictured above were a gift from my Mum and Stepdad and came from the very talented Pinky Creates! Aren't they gorgeous?!

My brother in law went out and got me McDonalds breakfast. I got up and started dyeing my hair while he went out. I'd meant to do it all week but I just didn't have the time. After breakfast, I rinsed out my hair, showered and got ready for the day. Josh had asked me to wear the dress (which I probably would have done anyway) and it was lovely to get properly dressed up.

It was a pretty chilled day after that! Unfortunately, Charlie came down with chicken pox in the week, so we couldn't go anywhere with him. Josh's youngest sister came over with some gifts for me, and we all had a quick catch up which was nice. I started building my bookshop!

I video called my Mum and one of my sisters for an hour or so. We were supposed to go out for a meal the night before but you know, chicken pox. It was nice to see them and catch up though. They absolutely loved my dress! 

My nieces and nephew got me this gorgeous floral display! Real flowers in a real pumpkin, I'm obsessed.

I also received £60 in cash and a £10 gift card. Haven't decided what I'm going to spend it on yet but I'm debating getting a piercing!

We got Chinese for dinner, played a few games and listened to music all evening. It was a very low-key birthday but it was still lovely!
