Making Better Choices with Green Cola*

As you guys know, I'm trying to make better decisions about the products I use and consume. Fizzy drinks full of sugar, however, are one of the things that I struggle to cut out. Especially as I like an evening drink and cola is my go-to mixer. So, when the opportunity arose to try Green Cola*, I took it.

If you didn't know, Green Cola has zero sugar, zero aspartame, and only 2 calories! The only sweetener is made from the Stevia plant, the superfood from South America. It also has natural caffeine, from green (unroasted) coffee beans - hence the name!

So how does it taste? I personally love it. It's not as fizzy as any other fizzy drink, and I actually love that. For a long time now I have noticed that the fizz in drinks hurts my throat, which is why I've tried to cut it out in the past, but I noticed I didn't get that with Green Cola! It's also no where near as sweet but it's still pleasant. It's also a lot 'lighter' than Coca-Cola or Pepsi, but that's probably down to the lack of syrup and chemicals. Honestly, I think if you were to pour it in a glass and give it to someone without telling them what it was, they wouldn't really tell it wasn't Coca-Cola or Pepsi.

But to give it a real taste-test, I waited until a suitable drinking hour (anytime after midday right?) and added in my favourite Summertime drink - I KNOW it's Spring but it was sunny today, okay? - Malibu.

I swear this cola is life changing. My Mum literally poured me a triple Malibu and normally, I'd be feeling sick and have a weird pain in my chest after 3 alcoholic drinks mixed with coke. This time? NOTHING. No pain, no sickness, nothing. Just a drink I could actually enjoy and not feel bad about either.

Unfortunately, you can't buy Green Cola in supermarkets, but it's actually available on Amazon!

Thank you to the guys at Green Cola for kindly opening my eyes to the sugar-free alternative! It's definitely changed the way I feel about fizzy drinks, and I'll definitely be getting more in the future!

  1. Heya, I swapped to coke zero because of the sugar and found that to taste better than diet coke, does green coke actually taste like coke, on a scale of 1-5?

    1. Probably 3! I haven't tried coke zero but I'd say it probably tastes similar to diet coke, as it's quite light. I definitely prefer it to normal coke! But I'm a Pepsi Max girl at heart xx
